today in the evening ehui, kk, xyy and i went to cathay to watch bedtime stories, which was awesome!!! the little boy in the story is SO adorable! then we went to yoshinoya in PS for dinner, and they played T.O.T on me again. this time even worse. i say i will only play fair, that means everyone must have 1 turn. so xyy was like okay. then he ask kk" are you a guy" and ehui "r u a girl' kind of qs, so very fast it was my turn again. their qs damn yi dao jian xue kind. R u willing to wait 2 yrs for him? do u want to have kids with him? haha so tough questions..i dint know guys ask qs so li hai one. haha
after that we went to the archade to play our fav bball machine. there was this damn pro guy playing. he one hand one ball and went close to a 1000 pts lah! then we went to play this finger touching 4 by 4 screen game. supposed to be a 1 player gane, but then we allocate 1 person 4 boxes to touch. haha but he still failed the first time. so noob.. hahah but it was really fun.
on a random note: i must really thank god once again for this wonderful trip and for getting to know this wonderful grp of ppl=)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!=)
the past few days haa been really fun. late night movies, sharing sessions with my family and all.
wed, 24th dec
OCIP mates were going to have a whole day party and countdown to christmas, and we were going to meet at cityhall at 2pm.so i was very excited, expecting to meet the wonderful 20+ or least 10+ of them. BUT only yaze and ehui were there.( i spotted yaze amongst the huge crowd within seconds haha) then we waited cos we thought hp was coming but mr dao didnt return our calls or smses. haha. meanwhile, kk went home to take his presents cos he left them at home..
me, ehui and yaze decided we could have fun ourselves so we went walking around, pretending it was TBC. but yaze was like "cannot lah, got no mood, no one pulls us into the shops." hahaha.we went to burger king for ehui's lunch. when we went in i was like "hey, this reminds me of the macs at yu yuan" and they gave me looks like "don't even start." haha they're hilarous=) kk joined us at bk and showed me my huge present. he asked if i want it now or later, and i said LATER. hahaha =p
we decided to go catch a movie, so we walked to the cathay it was kinda raining on the way, and ehui made kk and yaze share the SCGS umbrella=D we walk thru SMU campus, it was quite a cool place,esp the artsy-fartsy clock painting on the wall whose min hand moves by itself! they had like watsons, OCBC, subway, mr bean etc etc and the students there are cool.=)anyway, we reached cathay and the movie tics queue downstairs was long, so ehui and i went upstairs to check out the queue-which turned out to be no queue at all. bedtime stories was sold out-obviously, so we bought tics for TWILIGHT. e hui watched it before when she was in msia, but they cut out the kissing scenes so we wanted to watch again=p
After we paid $8.50 for each tics, kk found us and told us he had the cathay card, which means we could have bought it for 6 bucks each. hahah smart.=p we had some time so we found comfy seats and chatted. i decided to open kk's present. but before that he wanted to play a game with candy canes. he gave me 5 chances to guess what the present was by touching the wrapper and with each chance used wrongly he would remove the candy canes on the table. haha we had a lot of fun guessing what the soft toy was but the canes were dissapearing off the table. haha=p ehui and yaze were just molesting the toy so i opened the wrapper and pulled out the efro-matthew-looking toy=D. me, ehui and yaze looked at it for quite long.then i was like" im so sorry, i dont know what this character is" haha, feel so bad to kk. its some jap anime character, i dont watch anime..=p but the hair's really nice to touch and it has a really funny expression, so i'll hug it to sleep though i dont know it well. HAHA=)
later kk, ehui and i shared a box of popcorn and watched TWILIGHT. it was a good show. and edward is hot lah.=D here are some quotes from the show. if u have not watched it, dont read this para.

after the movie, yaze had to go home and ehui had to go off to matt's house for fac com christams party fr 6 to 9. so kk and i were alone, and walked to P.S while waiting for xyy.we decided to go play in the archade. we played the bball machine and couldnt go past level 1 omg >.< so embarressing. when xyy game me and kk were trying the candy/soft toy machine. it looked quite easy cos everyone ard like got the soft toy fr the game. so kk and i threw in quite alot of coins but then we were far from the jackpot.=p after xyy came we went to play the bball machine again. kk and i tried several times again, and this time we manage to get to level 2 on some tries. haha=D then xyy say his av. score is only 188 then he tried and got to like level 4! then he kept laughing at kk and i. haha yea, we know u were kidding.
we went to carls jr for dinner, i shared chilli cheese fries with xyy! very nice! then he decided to make lemonade with his bare hands for us to try. kk was bit grossed out, i thought it was quite good. ohoh and zhenyang passed by.=)then we walked around outside ps where there were many christmas decorations and figures. in the picture below, there is a really funny story. me, kk and xyy wanted to take a pic, so we just randomly went to the lamb corner and asked this lady to take a pic for us. but we stood infron of all the lambs at first so she gave us a OKAAAYYY... look and asked 'so am i supposed to take the lambs too?' HAHA omgosh i just burst out laughing. so hilarous!

then we went to the mrt station to t6ake a train to potong pasir. that was when i found out that i lost my ez link card. my 4th one at that.heh=p
we reached potong pasir and met zi jing there. she had this really cool red bag that costs like 200 bucks! anyway, we called marianne and found out she wasnt home yet, so the 4 of us decided to take a bus down to hougang cos apparently there was a archade there for me to satisfy my bball machine satisfaction. and smartly, we dint take into account that it was already 11 at night when we were at potong pasir hahaa..i havent been to hougang before in my life, so we camwhored at the hougang sign at the mrt station=) but i've decided that that place is even more ulu than pasir ris please! we walked ard looking for the archade but the mall was closed, so we took a bus back to potong pasir.
it was already quite close to 12 pm so we were really worried that we were going to countdown, the four of us, on the bus, instead of together with the OCIP grp..we took a double deck and went to sit at the top, where there was only 1 stranger there. then xyy decided to play T.O.T. and he sprang up a qs on me about ______, and i was so taken back i was like "omgoh, how do you know? omgosh omgosh." so then zijing knew also. kk already knew, so its nothing to him. then wahlau, T.O.T became an individual sharing session can, cos i was like the only one sharing=/ agghh.. now the stranger in the bus knows my secret also>.< not that he cares but i dont wan to broadcast mah..
we reached potong pasir and we see marianne,e hui, yuwei, wilson, and sx on the bike across the road.then this zijing ah, she ran across the road like no body's business, and a car flew past us like just 1 freaking sec after she passed. scared me like shit please!
then the whole grp of us( marianne, me, ehui, zijing, kk, xyy, yuwei, wilson,sx) walked to marianne's house. then me and ehui were gossiping so we walked slower, then they kept hurrying us cos it was really close to 12pm and all around ws very dark and ulu, not gd place for countdown. in the lift to her house it was 1 min to 12pm. and eventually we finished the 4,3,2,1 part just few steps into her house, and said' merry christams ' to her mum. haha.

we sat ard the telly and watched soccer( thai vs vietnam), i was just watching no. 18 haha.marianne bought us a chicken and sx was busy cutting the chicken for all of us for quite long. haha there were no party activities planned so we were just playing with marianne=p they played 'magic' tricks on her, and the tissue disappearing- and -reappearing act. haha that was pretty hilarous. ehui had to leave so i was just msging ppl merry christmas on a 1% batt.haha. later SX left also at 2 plus on his bike. it was so dark and frightening>.<
later we movedd into marianne's room. its a really pretty room, pinkish and abit of kiddyland? haha i like! esp the ceiling, which was pasted with glow in the dark stars and moons and planets. suoer cool. each of us occupied a spot in her room for the night. i took the one in front of her bed near the wall. then we decided to talk. so we gave each person three potential partners in our sch( the not so good ones) and we had to choose who to shoot, shag, marry from the three. haha quite funny.
then each person choose the three hottest guy/girl in the sch. this wasnt fun for me cos i only had 1 choice=p and i couldnt say that one, and i didnt know most of the ppl whose names popped up. so we decided to go on facebook and look at their pics!=D
after that a brillant guy suggested to watch saw 4=D=D ! it was good. but then yu wei say he keep falling asleep. marianne was sleeping when we decide to watch btw, or else she will not allow us to watch=p then she woke up suddenly and switch off the com. haha, that was after she screamed of course..then she say 'lets talk' hahah, so we talked random stuffs, it was already 4 plus 5 i think. we lasted till 6 plus then i climbed on marianne's bed cos i cldnt take it anymore. HAHA. we slept till like 9 plus. quite shuai. i was on and off her bed. haha. i rmb there was good westlife music, but i dont rmb when it came out. haha
when everyone woke up we were like zombies lah. hahaha no body talk while we washed up etc. not even merry christmas=p but after wards we did, when we left dreamland for good. we walked to macdonalds for christmas breakfast! they went to buy first, i sat there waiting. suddenly this beautiful smile whispered something to me. then i was like what? then that macdonalds staff whispered louder " merry christmas!' HAHA=D=D=D=D it brightened up everything around, and suddenly remembered me that this is why christmas is a season of joy. its gives you a 'normal' reason to smile at ppl, to talk to them and to share and give.
after breakfast we went home.=) after i reached home i just fell asleep immediately. i expected my family to at least wake me up right? NO. they totally didnt and left me sleeping from 1pm to 9pm omg!i woke up and just started crying=p i missed the whole afternoon of christmas!=(
sis, mum and i went to orchard, and had pastamania for dinner=) then we camwhored alot alot on the streets and all and admired the lights before we went home. kk msged me that orchard was really crowded but when i went there, i miss christmas in HK so much. the word crowded really is shown in HK. esp during christmas. everyone on the streets are like family, so happy and warm=) but oh wells, no singapore, no great friends=)

my 17th=)
yesterday was the most memorable birthday celebration i have had. it was my 17th=)
the day before yesterday i was all set on spending my birthday alone, cos all my KC friends were put of town, so was my dad and my fav cousin, and virtually everyone else fr HC or from church i asked out were unavailable.
I dint want to count down alone, so i went online. there was a mass ocip conver ard 11 plus so i grabbed on that opportunity to countdown..=p the guys time-checked and they were like, "2 mins more", "1 min more". and knowing its a countdown, i thought someone would start the 10, 9, 8, 7 thing.i was practically on the edge of my seat cos i was so excited. but apparently no body did. the first person to inform me that it just turned 12pm was ou xiang who said Happy birthday!
so the first word i said on my 17th was "Shit!" cos i was so anticipating the 5,4,3,2,1 thing but i missed that. HAHA oh wells. the rest of the conver was filled with happy birthdays and wilson planning a celebration for me. =) but the conver was full of crap ahah in the end at 1 plus we still didnt decide on a place so wilson asked me go sleep first he will msg us the details the next day.
i woke up early on my birthday and was just smiling to myself while waiting for wilson's msg. he ask us to meet at 3pm at orchard mrt. i reached late=p like 3.15++ but there were ppl like yuwei and nicole who came later. haha. matt, zijing, erwin, wilson, linus, marianne, sx, and xyy were there . zijing gave me a pretty flower ballon scrupture she did herself=) ou xiang gave me the hc soccer no. 18 jersey=D nicole gave me a really pretty makeup pouch=) linus ask me to choose 2 drinks from the vending machine, he treat me.=) haha, oh and marianne was going to top up $0.50. haha.
we stoned ard for a while before we decided to go catch a movie. we took a bus to PS and bought tics for YES-MAN. we still had quite alot of time so i asked if the guys could get the toy from the machine in the archade. i changed 7 tokens for them to try, but then in the end all the tokens used for bball machine which was much more fun=) marianne and i had a car racing match together, and i won! haha birthday luck=) then we went to play bball game, super fun! but very of the balls we shot went in HAHA.kk joined us at the archade.
then then my powerful eyes spotted mr chang j and his gf at the bball game stations also. his gf looks pretty from the back and side. then marianne and i kinda stalked her to the toilet and try to see her face fr the mirror and it was not pretty. =p
anyway after that it was time for our movie. the movie was good! haha, the girl in the movie is so crazily cute! and omgosh jim carrey makes the funniest expressions=D
hwa pheng joined us after the movie, which was abt 7pm. and he gave me a merry christmad deco towel. quite sweet=) ahah. nicole, sx and matt had to go home after the movie. then the rest of us, linus, kk, hp, marianne, wilson, xyy,yu wei went for dinner.marianne wanted to take neoprints first and she dont believe that the guys will take if its after dinner. haha in the end they promised so we went to look for a place for dinner. we walk out of PS then random walk for a while and camwhored! before settling on manhatten fash market in PS in the end=) the food is good, so was the queue. haha when they were queing, marianne and i checked the line for swensens, and kk, hp and i went to draw money.we could do so many things lah

xyy and yuwei kept checking out chio- bu s. haha they'll be like ''that one, that one, the yellow one'' then ''she saw u lar!' haha super hilarous. after dinner, wilson treated us to a ice-cream brownie so that the waiters can all sing a birthday song for me. haha then later, this waitress came over and was like, whose birthday is it? then i raised my hand. she was already acting like very suspicious. she stuck out her hand and obviously im supposed to shake it. i did and my hand just felt gooey, sticky, slimy. haha gross lah. i THINK it was whipped cream. but then i go wipe on hp's hand also=p heh
after dinner, we were supposed to take neoprints but we were already running late, cos it was 9 +++ and neoprints shop at cine closes at 10pm. so marianne was very anxious that we cannot take so she kept like half-running, half-turning back to chase all the guys( esp yuwei who like totally walk slow so that he will miss the shot haha) to walk faster. but then in the end we still missed by like 1 customer. ahahha.
then we walked to youth park.We played T.O.T first. the bottle kept spinning to wilson, linus and yu wei. then they got really sick qs from xyy. half the time i was blockiong out all sounds haha. then stupid linus say i must listen cos i grow up already>.< but its really gross cos most of the qs were DESCRIBE kind. luckily we eventually changed game to shoot, shag, marry of the ppl in the OCIP SH 2008 team. haha that game was quite funny.
then marianne had to leave so we all decided to leave together. then cos yuwei and i both live in pasir ris so we were going to take the train home together. i complain to marianne and hp in front of yuwei that the journey home will be so awkward and they were loike ya lor, somemore u have to spend the last mins of ur 17th bdae with him. haha=p then he act pissed and was like, come hp i take to yishun then i take bus hgome. HAHAH. the journey home wasnt awkward at all, in fact it was quite enjoyable. we talked abt quite alot of random stuff and the trip seemed really fast. when we parted it was exactly 12, and he said HAPPY BIRTHDAY. haha=) not bad for yu wei.
yup that concludes my 17th birthday. thank you once again to everyone who went for this outing, esp wilson, who like organized most of it. and to all who spammed my sms inbox with ur wishes, esp bell from NZL. thank you, thank you and without u guys, i would have such a memoprable 17th. i love you guys to bits and pieces. and i believe the OCIP spirit will live with us?

on the last day we made our own dumplings at the school and had them for lunch. =)though the shape of the dumplings were the most awkward ever, look at the warmth on their faces.

i've just returned from the best trip in the whole universe, OCIP SHANGHAI 2008.i've said my final goodbyes to the most wonderful bunch of kids in the whole universe in shanghai, li min xiao xue. i've said goodbye to one of the best teams i've met and worked with , and all i hope is that the next time we meet we're no longer the strangers we all started out as. its amazing how many things can change in 15 days.
A team was built, strong bonds were forged, some happiest and saddest moments occured and i fell in love. When we first started i disliked this OCIP SH team very much. the first few ocip meetings we had were boring and ppl( includ me) were hesitant to share. other than that i had bad first impressions of many ppl, i remember i was just whining and complaining to audrey after every ocip meeting that i am never going to survive 15 days with this grp of ppl. boy was i wrong.
you guys have reminded me how happy being a teenager is, especially being a teenager with a cause, and have taught me many many things. most imporatantly, i dont dislike the hwa chong culture like i did before this trip anymore. i have learnt how to be stonger then what i used to be, and i have also learnt how weak i can get when everthing falls. but one thing i realize i can never overcome no many how many times it repeats , is saying goodbye.
The pain of saying goodbye to the kids, the school, our team and eventually even the random places in sh like TBC, Qi pu lu is so painful. my idol said ' be happy cos what you done is worth cherishing and not emo ing' and that made things bit easier but then if leaving is not sad, how come breakups and stuffs are so painful. this is not meant to be a emo post but the emotions are flowing out again.
i remeber how the kids held the photo of me and them for the whole day on the last day no matter where they went, and the beautiful smiles they gave me. i remember how they would shout "jie jie!" or to my other team mates " ge ge" when we came down during break time. i remember the games they taught us, like xiao jie and lao ying zhuo xiao ji, and train and the strings etc, i remember the phrases they taught me, like when i made a promise with them, it always made me smile. i remember the wonderful lunches we had in the school, and the very hilarous toilet trips with sheena and ehui. i remeber my attempts at sanding and painting the walls, which were always inferior compared to the other participants heh. i remember long ge teaching me bball and the other peeps i played with at the village sch who has made me fall in love with bball. i remember holding the kids so close to me in my arms and swinging them in the air and seeing and listening to those wonderful laughs, those moments i really felt they were my kids.i remeber walking down to food street with the participants for xiao long bao-the nicest in the world after a disgusting dinner. i remember meeting long ge, who is one of the coolest senior i have evr known, who plays guitar freaking well, and have got me thinking about a future with YMCA. i remember how we have strategies at bargaining with the shop ppl there but walking away SLOWLY so he can call us back to give us the price we wanted.i remember the cup-noodles sharing sessions and screwed-up T.O.Ts in my room.i remeber how difficult it was to wake up every morning, but i'll think of the kids smiles and pull myself up. i remember the few days when my voice broke and mr quek and gang made me call the diff rooms and ask if anyone wants massage.=p i remember how mrs tan would rush into our room after evry mass shopping trip excitedly and showed us her shopping. i remeber kk, sheena, e hui and i standing in that dvd shop and just spamming the counter with our dvds try-out. i remember the bus trips everyday when everyone would be sleeping like no body's business and whenever i tried to sleep ehui's head would knock against mine. i remember the pocky and qq candy they pass ard. i remember the latest k session i ever had- till 4.30 am omg! and i remeber erwin and kk's shocked expression when they woke up in the morning finding themselves in my room and our bed cos they were too bored with the T.O.T session. i remember it was -1 degree and i was shivering like mad at the school, and all the kids came over for a hug that was so warm, it really made things lots better. and i remeber asking them if they were cold, and they gave me such brave smiles and shouted bu leng! i remember too many things that add up to this wonderful memory.
i really hoped the bond forged between us who braved -1 degrees together will last forever. and i really hope i can go back to see those kids at least once more. because i remember promising them under the bright blue sky on the last day that no matter what, i'll be back. and i wont break that promise.
